About Defensible Technology

Steve Doty is an information technology and information security expert and the CEO and founder of Defensible Technology. Most recently, Steve served as the CTO for The Juilliard School and led the university through a global IT transformation inclusive of technology modernization, organizational restructuring, and expansion into China.

As a Managing Director with a leading forensics and incident response firm, Stroz Friedberg, Steve has functioned as an outsourced CISO for numerous organizations across multiple industries. Earlier in his career, Steve was a senior network engineer and “Big 4” consulting firm manager.

Dmitriy Aminov is an information technology and information security expert with a unique combination of strategic and tactical expertise. As CTO of Defensible, he brings more than 15+ years of experience designing and configuring network solutions, implementing state-of-the-art technologies, managing enterprise-level IT services, and developing IT and InfoSec programs.

Most recently, as Director of IT Engineering at The Juilliard School, Dmitriy led the modernization of its IT and security infrastructure, and played a pivotal role in the design, configuration and implementation of the new Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning/Student Information System (ERP/SIS).

Kelvin Baez leads Cybersecurity and Managed Service Provider (MSP) Operations at Defensible Technology. Kelvin has an extensive history providing white-glove IT support to clients in demanding office environments. He maintains a strong working knowledge of industry best practices in cybersecurity, IT networking, and Windows/Mac OS environments, and is noted for his client-focused mindset and IT problem-solving capabilities.

Prior to working at Defensible Technology, Kelvin was an Information Systems Representative at Bloomberg LP for eight years, where he served as a trusted IT and security advisor to the Bloomberg senior executive team.

Before Bloomberg, Kelvin was Computer Operations Manager/Senior Technician for the New York City Mayor’s Office for eight years, providing IT and cybersecurity support to the Mayor’s executive staff.

Isaac Marks leads Defensible’s Human Resources, Staffing, and Talent Acquisition practice. With 20+ years in the technology and cybersecurity recruiting industry, Isaac is a seasoned veteran with a unique ability to source the right candidate, at the right time, for the right job. Isaac’s capabilities and energy enable both Defensible and clients to scale to meet the needs of the business in a cost-effective manner.

Isaac has vast experience in identifying and engaging top talent with various skill sets and levels, including but not limited to DevOps, cybersecurity, cloud migration, blockchain, and software engineering.

Carl S. Young is a physical and cybersecurity risk management expert and the author of five reference books and numerous papers on security risk management.

Carl previously served as a Senior Executive and Supervisory Special Agent with the FBI, where he led technology initiatives supporting counterintelligence, counterterrorism, and criminal investigations. He later held senior roles at Goldman Sachs, Stroz Friedberg, and The Juilliard School. He has been an adjunct professor at John Jay College, a consultant to the JASON Defense Advisory Group, and a member of a blue-ribbon panel convened by the Director of Central Intelligence.

He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at Defensible Technology, Executive-in-Residence at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business, and co-founder of Consilience 360.

Yohan Singh serves as Director of Customer Success at Defensible Technology, driving client strategy, execution, and retention across high-impact cybersecurity and IT engagements.

He specializes in transforming complex environments into structured, accountable, and outcome-driven partnerships. Known for decisive leadership, operational discipline, and relentless client advocacy, Yohan aligns executive priorities with measurable delivery.

His background spans SaaS management, higher education technology, and client relationship leadership, overseeing diverse portfolios, cross-functional delivery teams, and long-term strategic growth initiatives.

At Defensible, Yohan directs customer engagement with a focus on precision execution, risk visibility, stakeholder alignment, and sustained business value. Outside the office, he competes in the American Poolplayers Association (APA) league — a discipline he credits with keeping his angles sharp and his positioning precise, both on the green felt and in complex client strategy. His approach is simple: move fast, eliminate the jargon, execute relentlessly, and build partnerships that last.

Jacob Flynn is a Systems & Solutions Engineer at Defensible Technology, working across the firm's consulting and managed services teams. He builds and integrates technology systems for clients and helps keep them secure.

Jacob administers Defensible's managed security platforms and supports cybersecurity risk assessments and security reviews, as well as vulnerability assessment work. He also builds automation and AI tools that simplify day-to-day processes, both for clients and for Defensible's own internal operations. He holds the Claude Certified Associate - Foundations certificate from Anthropic.

Jacob earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from McGill University and spent a semester studying at the University of Copenhagen. Before joining Defensible, he was a Database and Web Development Intern at Myelin and Associates.

Abdul Samad is an experienced IT professional with 10 years of expertise spanning technical support, systems administration, and IT service management. Throughout his career, he has supported Microsoft Premier customers and worked extensively within Managed Service Provider (MSP) environments, including serving as an Escalation Engineer responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex technical challenges. Abdul brings extensive knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Exchange, Active Directory, and other enterprise solutions. He specializes in troubleshooting complex issues, delivering responsive, customer-focused support, and seeing technical challenges through from identification to resolution.

At Defensible Technology, Abdul applies his technical depth and escalation experience to help clients navigate both everyday IT needs and more challenging technical issues. His ability to troubleshoot across multiple technologies, communicate clearly with users, and stay focused on resolution helps provide dependable support while strengthening the Managed Service Desk team's technical capabilities.

Robert Anderson is an experienced IT professional and member of the Managed Service Desk team at Defensible Technology. With multiple IT certifications and years of hands-on experience, Robert combines technical expertise with a strong customer-service mindset to resolve client issues and manage devices throughout their full lifecycle.

Known for his attention to detail and disciplined approach to documentation, Robert helps turn day-to-day support activities into repeatable processes and standard operating procedures. His focus on establishing and refining best practices helps create consistency for clients while improving the way technical services are delivered across the Defensible team.

Before joining Defensible, Robert spent five years at Lenovo supporting customers ranging from individual users to large organizations managing hundreds of devices. Earlier in his career, he supported Caterpillar's global workforce, gaining experience in a complex enterprise environment serving more than 100,000 employees.

At Defensible Technology, Robert brings that combination of enterprise support experience, process discipline, and client service to the Managed Service Desk. His focus on thorough documentation and repeatable processes helps ensure that solutions are not only effective in the moment, but can also contribute to more consistent and efficient support for clients over time.
